Overview

huCART19-IL18 is a fourth-generation 4-1BB anti-CD19 chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy engineered to secrete the pro-inflammatory cytokine interleukin-18 (IL-18). This "armored" CAR T-cell product is designed to enhance antitumor activity against CD19-positive B-cell malignancies, particularly in patients who have failed previous anti-CD19 CAR T-cell therapies. The therapy utilizes an expedited 3-day manufacturing process to limit T-cell exhaustion. huCART19-IL18 has shown promising efficacy in heavily pre-treated patients with relapsed/refractory non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) and chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL).
