Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hugan Buzhure Granules (also known as Hugan Buzure Keli) is a traditional Uyghur medicine (TUM) developed and manufactured by Xinjiang Uygur Pharmaceutical. It is a multi-herb formulation consisting of seven botanical ingredients: celery seed (*Apii Semen*), celery root (*Apii Radix*), chicory seed (*Cichorii Semen*), dodder seed (*Cuscutae Semen*), chicory root (*Cichorii Radix*), fennel root bark (*Foeniculi Cortex*), and fennel fruit (*Foeniculi Fructus*). Officially approved in China, it is traditionally indicated for nourishing the liver and stomach, dispelling gas, relieving pain, promoting bile secretion, and inducing diuresis. It is clinically used to treat liver cold, stomachache, spleen and rib pain, joint pain, rheumatism, and urinary system diseases. Modern pharmacological research indicates that Hugan Buzhure Granules possess hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, and anti-fibrotic properties, and can induce autophagy and apoptosis in hepatocellular carcinoma cells by inhibiting the PI3K/Akt/mTOR signaling pathway.
