Overview
Huicong Granules (also known as Huicong Keli) is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula developed by the Liaoning University of Chinese Medicine and its affiliated hospital. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of amnestic mild cognitive impairment (aMCI) and mild-to-moderate Alzheimer's disease. The formula is typically used as an adjunctive therapy to standard-of-care acetylcholinesterase inhibitors like donepezil. Huicong Granules is hypothesized to improve cognitive function and memory by modulating neurophysiological activity, as evidenced by changes in event-related potentials (ERP) such as P300 latency and amplitude.
