Overview

HUJ591 + aldesleukin is an **experimental combination therapy** consisting of the monoclonal antibody huJ591, which specifically targets the extracellular domain of prostate specific membrane antigen (PSMA), and aldesleukin (recombinant interleukin-2), a cytokine immunotherapy. HUJ591 is a humanized antibody designed for targeted delivery and immune activation against prostate cancer and potentially other solid tumors, while aldesleukin stimulates immune cell proliferation and activation, particularly of lymphocytes (T and NK cells)[7][3]. This dual approach aims to enhance anti-tumor immune responses in patients with advanced or refractory cancers, especially prostate cancer. Developed and evaluated mainly in clinical research settings, the combination has been tested in a phase II trial for hormone refractory prostate cancer[3][7].
