HuL001

HuL001 is a first-in-class humanized monoclonal antibody that specifically targets ENO1 (enolase 1, also known as alpha-enolase). It is designed to inhibit ENO1-mediated pericellular plasmin activation and intracellular glycolysis. These mechanisms contribute to the attenuation of cell migration and invasion—processes involved in inflammation, angiogenesis, cancer metastasis—as well as the reduction of pro-inflammatory and pro-fibrotic factor secretion. HuL001 is being developed primarily for multiple sclerosis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, with additional preclinical or discovery-stage research in several cancers (castration-resistant prostate cancer, metastatic colorectal carcinoma, multiple myeloma, pancreatic cancer) and autoimmune diseases (rheumatoid arthritis, inflammatory bowel diseases). The drug was developed by HuniLife Biotechnology using technology licensed from National Health Research Institute (NHRI) and Development Center for Biotechnology (DCB), Taiwan[1][2][6].
