Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huli San Pian (虎力散片), also marketed under brand names such as Ning Si Bao and Feng Cai, is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) formulated as tablets. It comprises a blend of four key herbal ingredients: processed Aconitum kusnezoffii (制草乌), Panax notoginseng (三七), Duan Jie Shen (断节参), and Bai Yun Shen (白云参). This multi-component drug is indicated for its properties in dispelling wind and dampness, relaxing tendons and activating collaterals, promoting blood circulation to remove stasis, reducing swelling, and alleviating pain. It is commonly prescribed for conditions such as rheumatic numbness, bone and joint pain, traumatic injuries, and bleeding from wounds. Due to the presence of aconitine, derived from processed Aconitum kusnezoffii, its administration requires strict medical supervision. Historically, Huli San originated as an ancestral secret recipe of the Yi ethnic group, with Huli San Pian representing a modern pharmaceutical tablet formulation approved in China.
