Human allogeneic hepatic cells are viable liver cells (hepatocytes) isolated from the livers of human donors and intended for transplantation into another individual. These cells are used as a form of cell therapy to treat various liver diseases, particularly in cases where whole-organ transplantation is not feasible or available. The mechanism involves engraftment and functional integration of the transplanted hepatocytes into the recipient's liver, providing metabolic support or replacing deficient enzymatic activity.
