Human anthrax immunoglobulin is a plasma-derived polyclonal antibody preparation containing high titers of neutralizing antibodies against the protective antigen (PA) of *Bacillus anthracis*. It is prepared from the pooled plasma of healthy human donors who have been immunized with an anthrax vaccine (such as the Anthrax Vaccine Adsorbed). The drug is designed to provide passive immunity and neutralize anthrax toxins, specifically targeting the PA component to prevent the assembly of lethal toxin and edema toxin, thereby mitigating toxemia associated with inhalational or systemic anthrax infections. In China, a clinical-stage candidate is being co-developed by Guizhou Taibang Biological Products and the Institute of Biotechnology, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, and has completed Phase I clinical evaluation for safety, tolerability, and pharmacodynamics.
