Human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cell injection is an allogeneic cell therapy product developed by Jiuzhitang Meike (Beijing) Cell Technology, utilizing ischemia-tolerant mesenchymal stem cell (it-MSC) technology licensed from Stemedica Cell Technologies. The product consists of mesenchymal stem cells derived from the bone marrow of healthy adult donors, which are expanded under low-oxygen (hypoxic) conditions to enhance their survival, migration, and therapeutic potency upon transplantation. These cells possess potent immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory properties, acting through the secretion of various cytokines and growth factors that modulate the activity of T cells, B cells, and macrophages. In the treatment of autoimmune pulmonary alveolar proteinosis (aPAP), the injection is intended to address underlying immune dysfunction and potentially improve the clearance of surfactant by restoring alveolar macrophage function. The therapy is currently being evaluated in Phase II clinical trials for aPAP and ischemic stroke in China.
