Human cord blood mononuclear cells (CBMNCs) developed by Shenzhen Beike Bio-Technology Co., Ltd. is an investigational cell therapy being evaluated for the treatment of autism spectrum disorder (ASD). The therapy consists of a heterogeneous population of cells isolated from human umbilical cord blood, including hematopoietic stem cells, endothelial progenitor cells, and mesenchymal stem cells. These cells are hypothesized to address the neural hypoperfusion and immune dysregulation associated with ASD by modulating immune responses, promoting angiogenesis, and potentially supporting neural repair. In clinical evaluations, CBMNCs have been administered via intravenous and intrathecal routes, often in conjunction with rehabilitation therapy or umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stem cells (UCMSCs).
