Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Human coronavirus single-domain antibody is a preclinical-stage neutralizing single-domain antibody (nanobody) therapy being developed by Beroni Group, in collaboration with Tianjin University and GenScript, for the treatment and prevention of coronavirus infections, including COVID-19. Derived from single-domain antibody screening platforms, these nanobodies are designed to target conserved regions of the coronavirus, such as the spike (S) protein or nucleocapsid (N) protein, to block viral entry and neutralize infection. The therapy is designed for localized delivery to the lungs via aerosolization (inhalation) to maximize efficacy and minimize systemic exposure.
