Human Dental Pulp Mesenchymal Stem Cell Injection is an allogeneic stem cell therapy developed by Beijing Sanyouli Heze Biotech, a subsidiary of Eastern Union Stem Cell & Gene Engineering (Vcanbio), in collaboration with Capital Medical University and Peking University Third Hospital. The therapy utilizes mesenchymal stem cells derived from human dental pulp (DPSCs), which are known for their high proliferative capacity and potent immunomodulatory and regenerative properties. The product is primarily being investigated for the treatment of chronic periodontitis, where it is administered via local injection to promote the regeneration of periodontal tissues and modulate local inflammatory responses. Additionally, the candidate is in Phase 2 development for other inflammatory and fibrotic conditions, including psoriasis and paraquat-induced lung injury.
