Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Fibrogen-I is a plasma-derived human fibrinogen concentrate developed and marketed by Intas Pharmaceuticals. It is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of acute bleeding episodes in patients with congenital fibrinogen deficiency, including afibrinogenemia and hypofibrinogenemia, as well as acquired fibrinogen deficiency. Fibrinogen (coagulation factor I) is a soluble plasma glycoprotein that is converted into fibrin by thrombin during the coagulation cascade, forming a stable clot to stop bleeding.
