Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Human growth hormone-Fc fusion protein (CCIBPR01005) is a long-acting recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) fusion protein developed by the Changchun Institute of Biological Products. It consists of human growth hormone fused to the Fc domain of human immunoglobulin G (IgG). By binding to the neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn), the Fc domain protects the fusion protein from lysosomal degradation, thereby significantly extending its circulating half-life and reducing the frequency of subcutaneous injections compared to daily short-acting rhGH. CCIBPR01005 is being developed for the treatment of growth hormone deficiency (GHD) and is currently in Phase I clinical trials.
