Human-like collagen (HLC) is a recombinant protein produced through genetic engineering, typically using *Escherichia coli* or yeast expression systems, to mimic the amino acid sequences found in human collagen (primarily Type I and Type III). Developed by Xi'an Giant Biogene Technology, HLC is designed to offer superior biocompatibility and lower immunogenicity compared to traditional animal-derived collagen. It acts as a bioactive scaffold that promotes fibroblast proliferation, enhances cell adhesion, and accelerates the repair of the skin barrier. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of facial dermatitis, contact dermatitis, and laser-surgery-induced skin trauma, and is frequently formulated into medical dressings, gels, and sprays.
