Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Human placenta hydrolyzate (hPH) is a biological preparation derived from the enzymatic and chemical hydrolysis of full-term human placental tissue. It is a complex, chemically heterogeneous mixture rich in low-molecular-weight peptides, essential amino acids, vitamins, minerals, nucleic acids, and various cytokines and growth factors (such as hepatocyte growth factor, epidermal growth factor, and fibroblast growth factor). Human placenta hydrolyzate is primarily utilized as a therapeutic agent to improve liver function in chronic liver diseases, manage menopausal symptoms, and promote tissue regeneration and skin rejuvenation. It exhibits hepatoprotective, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and immunomodulatory properties. In clinical and preclinical settings, it has also been investigated for ovarian rejuvenation, chronic fatigue syndrome, atopic dermatitis, and musculoskeletal pain management.
