Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Human placenta lipopolysaccharide injection is a biologic immunomodulator derived from human placental tissue, containing lipopolysaccharides (LPS) as the active component. It is primarily developed and manufactured in China by companies such as XianShi Pharmaceutical Group. The drug functions as a non-specific immunostimulant, primarily acting as an agonist of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) to activate macrophages and induce the release of cytokines, thereby enhancing the body's resistance to respiratory pathogens. It is clinically approved for the prevention and treatment of chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, and recurrent respiratory infections, including the common cold.
