Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Human placental lipopolysaccharide injection is an immunomodulatory biological product extracted from healthy human placental tissue. It is primarily utilized in China for the treatment of chronic bronchitis and the prevention of recurrent respiratory infections. The drug functions by enhancing non-specific immunity and regulating the inflammatory response, likely through the activation of Toll-like receptor 4 (TLR4) and subsequent modulation of cytokine production. In clinical research, it is being investigated for its potential to reduce the frequency of acute exacerbations and improve lung function in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
