Human placental mesenchymal stem cell gel is an innovative cell therapy developed by Beijing Health-Biotech Stem Cell Technology (Han's Stem Cell) specifically for the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers (DFU). The product consists of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) isolated from human placental tissue, which are then formulated into a gel for topical application directly onto chronic wounds. These placental MSCs are characterized by their high proliferative capacity, low immunogenicity, and potent paracrine activity. Once applied to the ulcer, the cells secrete a variety of bioactive factors, including vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), epidermal growth factor (EGF), and various anti-inflammatory cytokines. This secretome promotes angiogenesis, accelerates re-epithelialization, and modulates the chronic inflammatory environment typical of diabetic wounds, thereby facilitating the healing of otherwise recalcitrant ulcers.
