Overview
The human rotavirus vaccine, live attenuated, is a type of vaccine designed to protect against rotavirus infections, which are a primary cause of severe gastroenteritis, vomiting, and diarrhea in infants and young children. This vaccine contains weakened (attenuated) live rotavirus strains that, upon oral administration, replicate in the small intestine.
