Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Human umbilical cord blood extract is a biologic therapy derived from the blood of the human umbilical cord. It is being investigated for the treatment of thin endometrium, a condition characterized by an endometrial lining that is insufficiently thick to support embryo implantation. The extract is typically administered via intrauterine infusion. It is thought to contain a variety of growth factors, cytokines, and other bioactive molecules that promote endometrial cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and tissue repair, thereby improving endometrial receptivity and clinical pregnancy rates. The development is primarily associated with The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University.
