Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cell sheet is a tissue-engineered cell therapy product consisting of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) derived from the human umbilical cord, cultured into a scaffold-free, cohesive sheet. Developed by BOE Regenerative Medicine Technology, the sheet is designed for epicardial application during surgical procedures such as coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). The therapy aims to treat ischemic cardiomyopathy and heart failure with reduced ejection fraction (HFrEF) by providing a localized, high-density population of MSCs that secrete paracrine factors to promote angiogenesis, reduce myocardial fibrosis, and improve cardiac contractility. The sheet format is intended to enhance cell retention and survival compared to traditional intramyocardial injection methods.
