Overview

This humanized CD7-targeted chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy is an autologous cell-based biologic developed by The First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. It is specifically engineered to treat patients with relapsed or refractory CD7-positive T-cell lymphoma and T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia. To overcome the challenge of fratricide—where CAR-T cells target the CD7 expressed on their own surface during manufacturing and after infusion—the therapy utilizes a humanized single-chain variable fragment (scFv) and a fratricide-resistance mechanism, such as CD7 blockade technology. The treatment involves the infusion of genetically modified T-cells that recognize and eliminate malignant cells expressing the CD7 antigen.
