Overview
Humiome Post LB is a postbiotic dietary supplement developed by **dsm-firmenich** (following the acquisition of Adare Biome) and distributed by **Stratum Nutrition**. The product consists of heat-inactivated (tyndallized) cells of two proprietary bacterial strains, *Limosilactobacillus fermentum* (CNCM I-2998) and *Lactobacillus delbrueckii* (CNCM I-4831), along with their fermented culture medium and metabolic by-products. As a postbiotic, it does not contain live microorganisms, which enhances stability and eliminates the need for refrigeration. It is derived from the long-standing over-the-counter drug **Lactéol**, which has been used for decades to treat acute diarrhea. Humiome Post LB is primarily marketed for the management of gastrointestinal symptoms including bloating, cramping, and irregular bowel movements, and is also investigated for its effects on irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and stress-related wellbeing.
