Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huolisu is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) formulation, primarily used as an oral solution to treat symptoms associated with kidney deficiency and blood insufficiency, such as insomnia, dizziness, fatigue, and forgetfulness. The formulation is a combination of several herbal extracts, including processed *Polygonum multiflorum* (He Shou Wu), *Epimedium* (Yin Yang Huo), *Polygonatum sibiricum* (Huang Jing), *Lycium barbarum* (Gou Qi Zi), *Astragalus membranaceus* (Huang Qi), and *Salvia miltiorrhiza* (Dan Shen). In clinical settings, it is being evaluated for its efficacy in managing depression in patients who have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), with research focusing on its ability to regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-target gland axis and address TCM syndromes of kidney Yang and Yin deficiency. It is manufactured by companies such as Sichuan Kelun Pharmaceutical.
