It is specifically designed to manage oral mucositis, a common and debilitating side effect in patients undergoing radiotherapy and chemotherapy. The formula's primary active component is *Dendrobium huoshanense* (Huoshan Shihu), an orchid species endemic to the Huoshan region of China, which is traditionally used to nourish "Yin" and clear heat.
