Overview
Huoxue Qianyang (HXQY) decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily investigated for its cardioprotective and antihypertensive effects. It is specifically noted for ameliorating cardiac remodeling in obese spontaneously hypertensive models. The therapeutic mechanism is associated with the regulation of endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress, specifically through the inhibition of the activating transcription factor 6 (ATF6) and C/EBP homologous protein (CHOP) signaling pathways.
