Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Huoxue Tongjiang Fang (also known as Huoxue Tongjiang Decoction or HTD) is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formula primarily used for gastrointestinal conditions such as non-erosive reflux disease (NERD), reflux esophagitis, and Barrett's esophagus. It is a multi-herb botanical mixture that targets the LPS/TLR4/mast cell pathway and the TNF-alpha/TNFR1/NF-kappaB/CDX2 signaling axis. By modulating these pathways, the formula reduces esophageal mucosal inflammation and visceral hypersensitivity. It is typically used in clinical research settings, often in combination with proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) as part of an integrated medicine approach.
