Huzhang Qingmai Decoction

Huzhang Qingmai Decoction is a Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) herbal formulation developed by researchers at Fudan University. It is primarily investigated for the treatment of small vessel diseases, including cerebral small vessel disease (CSVD) and small vessel disease of the lower extremities. The decoction is part of a precise treatment strategy based on the TCM principles of "Reyu Duju, Maizhi Luobi" (Heat-toxin stagnation, vessel-collateral obstruction). In clinical studies, it is often evaluated for its ability to improve cognitive function, gait, and imaging markers in patients with early to middle-stage CSVD. The formulation is typically administered as an oral decoction and is frequently studied in parallel or combination with Biejia Ruanmai Decoction.
