HW130 is a potent and highly selective small molecule inhibitor of Fibroblast Growth Factor Receptor 4 (FGFR4), developed by Shenzhen Haiwang Pharmaceutical Technology Research Institute. It is designed to treat advanced solid tumors, with a particular focus on those driven by the FGF19/FGFR4 signaling axis, such as hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). By selectively binding to FGFR4, HW130 inhibits the activation of downstream signaling pathways, including the MAPK/ERK pathway, which are critical for tumor cell proliferation, survival, and metabolism. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy in patients with advanced malignancies that have failed standard therapies.
