Overview
HWK-206 is an antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting seizure-related 6 homolog (SEZ6), a neuronal surface protein frequently overexpressed in neuroendocrine tumors and small cell lung cancer. The ADC employs a biparatopic (dual epitope binding) antibody for enhanced internalization and uses a cleavable linker attached to a DNA topoisomerase I inhibitor payload—designed to improve efficacy and limit toxicity by ensuring the therapeutic agent is released specifically inside tumor cells. HWK-206 is being developed by Whitehawk Therapeutics, which licensed the candidate from WuXi Biologics and utilizing platforms from Hangzhou DAC. It is currently in preclinical development with Phase 1 trials planned for small cell lung cancer and neuroendocrine neoplasms.
