HX038 is a preclinical-stage bispecific monoclonal antibody being developed by HanX Biopharmaceutical for the treatment of various cancers. The molecule is engineered to simultaneously target OX40 (CD134), a key co-stimulatory member of the tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, and a second, currently undisclosed target. By agonizing OX40, HX038 aims to promote the activation, proliferation, and survival of effector T cells while potentially inhibiting the suppressive function of regulatory T cells (Tregs) within the tumor microenvironment. The inclusion of a second target is intended to provide synergistic effects, such as improved tumor targeting or dual checkpoint modulation, to enhance overall therapeutic efficacy compared to monospecific agents.
