Overview

HX16108 is a half-life extended bispecific monoclonal antibody designed to simultaneously target and neutralize interleukin-13 (IL-13) and interleukin-31 (IL-31). Developed by HanX Biopharmaceuticals, the molecule is engineered to address both the underlying Type 2 inflammation and the severe pruritus associated with atopic dermatitis. IL-13 is a clinically validated driver of skin inflammation, while IL-31 is a key mediator of the itch sensation. Preclinical studies have demonstrated that HX16108 possesses sub-nanomolar affinity for both targets, effectively inhibiting downstream signaling and showing synergistic effects compared to individual monoclonal antibodies. The antibody exhibits IgG-like in vivo stability and holds potential for improved therapeutic efficacy in patients with atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory skin conditions.
