Overview

HXN-2004 is a bispecific T-cell engager (BiTE) being developed by Earendil Labs (Helixon) for the treatment of colorectal cancer. The therapeutic is designed to simultaneously target two tumor-associated antigens, Carcinoembryonic Antigen-Related Cell Adhesion Molecule 5 (CEACAM5) and Cadherin-17 (CDH17), while engaging T cells through the CD3 receptor. This dual-antigen targeting approach is intended to enhance tumor specificity and potentially reduce off-target toxicities by requiring the presence of both antigens for optimal activity. By bringing T cells into close proximity with colorectal cancer cells, HXN-2004 facilitates T-cell activation and the subsequent directed lysis of the tumor cells. The program is currently in the preclinical candidate (PCC) stage of development.
