Overview

HXN-2031 is a preclinical-stage recombinant fusion protein developed by Earendil Labs (Helixon) for the treatment of solid tumors. It is designed to simultaneously target the Programmed Cell Death Protein 1 (PD-1) pathway and deliver Interleukin-15 (IL-15) signaling to the tumor microenvironment. By blocking the PD-1/PD-L1 inhibitory axis, the drug aims to relieve T-cell exhaustion, while the IL-15 component promotes the proliferation and activation of CD8+ T cells and Natural Killer (NK) cells. This dual mechanism is intended to enhance anti-tumor immune responses more effectively than PD-1 blockade alone by providing direct immune stimulation alongside checkpoint inhibition.
