Overview

HXN5003 is a monoclonal antibody that targets the interleukin-4 receptor subunit alpha (IL-4Rα), currently under development by Helixon Biotechnology (Suzhou) Co., Ltd. By specifically binding to the IL-4Rα subunit, HXN5003 inhibits the signaling pathways of both interleukin-4 (IL-4) and interleukin-13 (IL-13), which are critical cytokines in the mediation of Type 2 (Th2) immune responses. This dual inhibition effectively suppresses the inflammatory cascade associated with allergic conditions. The drug is primarily being investigated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis, with early-stage clinical trials focusing on its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile following subcutaneous administration.
