HXP056 is an investigational oral small molecule drug developed by Fujian Haixi New Drug Creation Co., Ltd for the treatment of retinal vascular diseases, including wet age-related macular degeneration (wAMD), diabetic macular edema (DME), and retinal vein occlusion (RVO). Developed using the proprietary MultiSel-Opt Platform, HXP056 is designed to target multiple pathways involved in inflammation and immune regulation while effectively crossing the blood-retinal barrier. As an oral therapy, it aims to provide a non-invasive alternative to the current standard of care, which typically involves frequent intravitreal injections. The drug has completed Phase I trials demonstrating safety and tolerability and has progressed into Phase II clinical development.
