Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HY-086 (also known as PTX-252) is a small molecule New Chemical Entity (NCE) being developed by Hyloris Developments in partnership with Pleco Therapeutics. It functions as a chelating agent designed to alter the tumor microenvironment by removing toxic metals that contribute to chemoresistance. Specifically, the drug targets the "Toxic Metal Burden" (TMB) in the bone marrow of patients with Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML) and in the tissues of patients with Small Cell Lung Cancer (SCLC). By sequestering these metals, HY-086 aims to sensitize cancer cells to standard-of-care chemotherapy, potentially improving treatment outcomes in these difficult-to-treat indications. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
