HY-098 is a topical formulation of isotretinoin being developed by Hyloris Pharmaceuticals for the treatment of Hereditary Palmar-Plantar Keratoderma (HPPK). HPPK is a rare, inherited skin disorder characterized by the abnormal thickening of the skin on the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet. HY-098 is designed as a value-added medicine using the 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway, aiming to provide a localized treatment that delivers the therapeutic benefits of isotretinoin directly to the affected skin while minimizing the systemic exposure and associated side effects typically associated with oral isotretinoin.
