Overview

HY-6725 (also known as HXN-1013) is a bispecific monoclonal antibody being developed by Newsoara Biopharma for the treatment of chronic respiratory conditions, including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The drug is designed to simultaneously target and neutralize two key epithelial-derived cytokines, interleukin-33 (IL-33) and thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP). These 'alarmins' play a critical role in initiating and perpetuating airway inflammation by activating both innate and adaptive immune responses. By blocking both pathways, HY-6725 aims to provide broader anti-inflammatory effects than therapies targeting a single cytokine, potentially addressing both type 2-high and type 2-low inflammatory phenotypes. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
