Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HY01 is a small molecule glucocorticoid drug under development for the treatment of sudden sensorineural hearing loss. It acts as an agonist of the glucocorticoid receptor, aiming to reduce inflammation and improve hearing outcomes in affected patients. The drug is administered intratympanically (directly into the ear), which increases local drug concentration while minimizing systemic exposure. This targeted delivery may be particularly beneficial for patients who cannot tolerate systemic steroids. HY01 is being developed by Heyu (Suzhou) Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd., with clinical trials currently in Phase 1 for sudden hearing loss[2][5][7].
