Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HY033 is a preclinical-stage chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy developed by Juventas Cell Therapy. It is built upon the company's NexT platform, which focuses on the development of universal (allogeneic) cell therapies. HY033 is engineered to target Glypican-3 (GPC3), a heparan sulfate proteoglycan that is significantly overexpressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) but absent or minimally expressed in healthy adult tissues. The therapy aims to provide a standardized, off-the-shelf treatment option for patients with GPC3-positive hepatoma by utilizing donor-derived T cells modified to express a GPC3-specific CAR. It is currently undergoing preclinical proof-of-concept studies.
