Overview

HY1839 is an investigational small molecule inhibitor developed by Suzhou Pharmavan Cancer Research Center for the treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. The drug functions as a selective inhibitor of Tyrosine Kinase 2 (TYK2), a member of the Janus kinase (JAK) family. By inhibiting TYK2, HY1839 modulates the signaling pathways of pro-inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-23 (IL-23), which are key drivers of chronic inflammation in the gastrointestinal tract. HY1839 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile in human subjects.
