Drug intelligence / Profile preview
HY8931 is a bispecific monoclonal antibody developed by Newsoara Biopharma Co., Ltd. for the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) and asthma. It is designed to simultaneously target and neutralize Tumor Necrosis Factor-like Ligand 1A (TL1A) and the p19 subunit of Interleukin-23 (IL-23p19). TL1A is a cytokine that mediates inflammation and fibrosis through the DR3 receptor, while IL-23 is a critical driver of the Th17 inflammatory pathway. By dual-targeting these pathways, HY8931 aims to achieve superior clinical outcomes in chronic inflammatory diseases compared to single-target agents. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation for safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy participants.
