Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**HYAJOINT Plus** is a **cross-linked hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) synovial fluid supplement** designed for intra-articular injection to treat pain and improve joint function in patients with **knee osteoarthritis**. It is produced via microbial fermentation and subsequently cross-linked using 1,4-butanediol diglycidyl ether (BDDE) under the patented CHAP cross-linking technology, resulting in a high molecular weight gel (over 15 MDa, 20 mg/ml, 2% HA). The product is non-animal sourced, reducing allergy risks, and is specifically indicated for patients who have not responded to conservative therapy or simple analgesics. A single injection provides pain relief and functional improvement for up to 6 months. Studies demonstrate the product’s superiority over other hyaluronic acid preparations in reducing pain at multiple time points. HYAJOINT Plus is administered as a single intra-articular injection directly into the knee[1][2][4][7][8][10].
