Hyaluronic acid + arginine is a combination formulation utilized in pharmaceutical and medical device applications for its synergistic effects on tissue hydration, microcirculation, and structural repair. Hyaluronic acid (HA), a major glycosaminoglycan of the extracellular matrix, functions as a high-capacity humectant and viscoelastic agent that promotes cell migration and proliferation by binding to receptors such as CD44. Arginine, a semi-essential amino acid, serves as the primary biological precursor for nitric oxide (NO) production via the action of nitric oxide synthases (NOS). The localized release of nitric oxide enhances microvascular blood flow, modulates inflammatory responses, and stimulates fibroblast activity, thereby increasing collagen and elastin synthesis. This combination is specifically developed for the treatment of Genitourinary Syndrome of Menopause (GSM) and atrophic vaginitis to restore mucosal integrity, as well as in topical applications for wound healing, radiotherapy-induced burns, and aesthetic intimate rejuvenation.
