Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hyaluronic acid + calcium hydroxyapatite is a hybrid dermal filler that combines the immediate volumizing effects of cross-linked hyaluronic acid with the long-term biostimulatory properties of calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres. Developed by Allergan Aesthetics (an AbbVie company) under the brand name HArmonyCa (originally developed by Luminera), this injectable formulation is designed for facial soft tissue augmentation, particularly in the mid and lower face. The hyaluronic acid component provides instant lift and volume through mechanical support, while the calcium hydroxyapatite microspheres stimulate fibroblasts to promote neocollagenesis, leading to sustained improvements in skin quality and structural integrity. A version containing lidocaine (HArmonyCa-L) is also available to improve patient comfort during the procedure.
