Egyfil is a novel topical formulation developed by Contrad Swiss SA for the relief of musculoskeletal and myofascial pain, stiffness, and reduced mobility. The product is a combination of hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate) and two recombinant human peptides: SH-Polypeptide-6 and SH-Oligopeptide-1. SH-Polypeptide-6 is a recombinant version of human Interleukin-10 (IL-10), which provides anti-inflammatory and pain-alleviating properties through Interleukin-10 receptor activation. SH-Oligopeptide-1 is a recombinant version of human Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF), which supports tissue repair and soothing. Hyaluronic acid serves as a structural lubricant and hydrating agent. Egyfil has been investigated in a prospective, pre-market interventional study (NCT05486897) to evaluate its efficacy and safety in patients with mild to moderate musculoskeletal pain.
