Hyaluronic acid NanoGel is a novel topical nanoparticle-based formulation of hyaluronic acid (HA) developed by researchers at Alexandria University. Designed as a non-invasive alternative to injectable dermal fillers, this 2% HA nanogel utilizes nanotechnology to significantly enhance skin permeation, demonstrating a tenfold increase compared to conventional HA gels. The formulation consists of nanoparticles with a size of approximately 213 nm and a negative zeta potential, which facilitates deeper penetration into the dermal layers. It is primarily indicated for periocular rejuvenation, specifically targeting tear trough deformity (TTD), periorbital hyperpigmentation (dark eyelids), and wrinkles by restoring volume and hydration to the skin.
