Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Hybridopa is a novel hybrid therapeutic developed by Remepy that combines a levodopa-based small molecule with a digital therapeutic protocol (Software as a Medical Device). It is specifically designed for the treatment of Parkinson's Disease, targeting both motor symptoms like rigidity and non-motor symptoms such as cognitive decline. The pharmacological component, levodopa, acts as a dopamine precursor that is converted into dopamine in the central nervous system to restore neurotransmitter levels. The integrated digital therapeutic component is designed to optimize treatment outcomes and manage symptoms through autonomic regulation or behavioral interventions. The program has completed Phase 2 clinical trials and is scheduled to enter Phase 3 in late 2026.
